As per the direction of the Confederation of Central Govt. Employees and Workers, the All India Postal Employees Union, Group-C, Bhubaneswar Division observed the 1st Death Anniversary of Com. S K Vyas Ji as Remembrance Day on 13.02.2016 with participation of the members of AIPEU, Postman & MTS and AIPEU GDS (NFPE), Bhubaneswar Division in the Postal Recreation Club, Bhubaneswar GPO.
At the outset, Com. B Samal, Divisional Secretary, AIPEU, Group-C briefed the life and sacrifices of Com. S K Vyas Ji for the betterment of the working class in general and the central Govt. employees and pensioners in particular. As the Secretary General of the Confederation of Central Govt. Employees and Workers for about 40 years ( 1967 to 2006), his struggle movements for the welfare of Central Govt. employees have brought many benefits and allowances now enjoyed by the Central Govt. employees. This tallest leader of Central Govt. employees remaining always down to earth is a symbol of simplicity . His long saga of struggle for the cause of employees and workers will certainly inspire the generations to come.
After the narration by Com. Samal, all the participating members offered floral tributes to the legendary leader.
